Adding User Codes for Printing to Networked Copiers
If you’re reading this, you should have already installed a printer via iPrint, manually using an IP address, or via Filewave with a Printer Profile.
You should also have already set the accessories to Large Capacity Try = Installed & Finisher = SRnnn.
If you haven’t done these things, PLEASE do them first.
On a Mac
– Open an OpenOffice text document.
– Select File – Print. You will see a Print dialog box.
– If you box is small like this one you need to select the down arrow on the right of the name of the printer. The box will now expand.
– Be sure to select the printer you just installed in the Printer box
– The box located in the middle (shows OpenOffice.org on this sample) needs to be dropped down to display the options and select Job Log
– Enter your User Copier code in the User ID box and select the box next to Enable User Code and now enter the code in the User Code box
– Now select the menu in the Presets box and select Save As.
– Enter a name in the present, something that indicates the preset is for user codes and select All printers
– Enter OK
– Whenever printing to the Savin be sure the user code preset is selected.
